What is Diversity Christian Trust?
Diversity Christian Trust is a Trust fund which was set up by 4 Christians in Frome in 1996. Historically, the Trust financially supported activities in Frome with the objective of advancing the Christian faith. This included giving money to local organisations such as Fair Frome, and co-funding the salary of a Christian Youth Worker in Frome. Diversity Christian Trust is continuing this work by becoming the financial ‘home’ for The Place and Frome Refresh (which was previously hosted by West Wilts Vineyard).
What is a trustee?
The trustees of Diversity Christian Trust are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do, as stated in the Constitution. Trustees are the people who have overall control of the trust and decide how it is run. Diversity Christian Trust trustees don’t get paid for their role. Trustees have legal responsibilities for overseeing what is done with the funds in the Trust. You can read more in our statement: Information for Trustees of Diversity Christian Trust.
Who are the trustees?
The current trustees are Fay Kelly, Nigel Harris, Andy Powell and Abi Green
What is the difference between Diversity Christian Trust and The Place?
Diversity Christian Trust trustees are only responsible for overseeing the Trust. The Place is led and run by The Place Leadership Team. Frome Refresh has a separate team that deliver services. In the future if there are other activities that further Diversity Christian Trust’s objectives, the Trustees may decide to support them.
Trustees meet 3-4 times every year to ensure that the Trust is achieving its aims. Diversity Christian Trust trustees also pray for the Trust and the work that is supported by its funds.

If you currently make a regular donation to The Place, you will need to change the details of the donation to Diversity Christian Trust as we phase out the current temporary banking arrangements set up when we founded The Place. See this page for more details.
